Oasis, Muse , Kings of Leon si MGMT s-au aflat pe lista castigatorilor Premiilor NME 2009, eveniment desfasurat pe 25 februarie la Brixton Academy din Londra.

Duo-ul american MGMT si-a adjudecat premiile pentru "Best New Band" si "Best Track" (Time to Pretend), Oasis au castigat cel de-al patrulea premiu pentru "Best Band", in timp ce baietii de la Muse au castigat premiile pentru "Best Live Band" si respectiv "Best Labum Artwork". 

Pe lista castigatorilor s-au mai aflat: Kings of Leon (Best Album - Only By Night), The Killers - Best International Band, Pete Doherty - Best Solo Artist sau George W. Bush - Villain of the Year. Tot la capitolul negativ, Jonas Brothers au primit premiile "Worst Album" si "Worst Band".
