Colaborarea dintre  Robert Plant  si Alison Krauss a castigat cele mai multe premii Grammy, printre care si "Cea mai buna piesa a anului" si "Cel mai bun album al anului".

Artistul cu cele mai multe nominalizari - Lil Wayne - a plecat acasa cu 4 premii din 8.

Chris Brown a reusit sa eclipseze Premiile Grammy, insa nu prin abilitatile de muzician. Brown - nominalizat la doua categorii si unul dintre artistii care trebuia sa cante la Grammy - a fost arestat pentru atac.

Iubita artistului, Rihanna , i-a calcat pe urme, anuntand in ultimele momente retragerea din spectacol.

Nici unul dintre ei nu a castigat nici un Grammy, iar in spectacol au fost inlocuiti de Justin Timberlake, Al Green, Boyz II Men si Keith Urban, care au cantat hit-ul Let's Stay Together.
